NEW York’s famous hotel, The Plaza, has teamed up with Executive Edge Travel to offer a complementary third night for all stays up until September 8, 2017, when you book and pay for two consecutive nights in a luxurious guest room or suite.

The package includes: free third night adjusted upon check-out, a maximum on nine consecutive nights (three complimentary nights); available to all room categories with the exception of the Plaza’s specialty suites: The Eloise Suite, Fitzgerald Suite, Grand Penthouse and Royal Suite; and includes all Virtuoso amenities.

As an added benefit to booking through Executive Edge Travel and its affiliation with Virtuoso, The Guerlain Spa includes a $US50 spa services credit for your stay. Alternatively the credit may be used towards spa retail products with a minimum purchase of $US100 during your stay up until September 8 2017 with voucher presented at check-in.

Alfred Vanderbilt was the Plaza’s very first guest in 1907 and since then the New York legend has become one of The Big Apple’s, if not the world’s, most storied hotels with high society adopting the Plaza as its playpen.

The walls of the Plaza could tell a million stories, and plenty about the rich and famous.

  1. Scott Fitzgerald, author of The Great Gatsby, and his wife Zelda frequented the Plaza drinking cocktails in the Roaring Twenties.
  2. The Beatles took over an entire wing on the 15th floor in 1964 for a time, ordered room service constantly and holed up around a piano whilst writing Michelle.

Countless movie sets on its grounds attempt to capture the glamour and power of its social cachet from Home Alone 2 to It Could Happen to You starring Bridget Fonda and Nicholas Cage. In fact, the French Renaissance style iconic hotel across from Central Park has always captivated the rich and famous – even the likes of US President Donald Trump, who acquired the Plaza for a time in 1988 as the ultimate purchase in his glitzy empire.

Today, the Plaza is managed by Fairmont with the passion and uncompromising attention to detail which made the property a legend. Speaking of which, the Legacy Suites are the newest addition to the hotel. Designed to represent an Upper East Side residence, all of the 29 newly renovated top tier suites have views over New York featuring elegant contemporary décor.
